ow. What a movie. I have to tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed watching Braveheart last night on DVD. What a great film... what a great countryside to film it in. What a wonderful tale...with some substantial historical inaccuracies. But, an interesting story based on a little bit of history. And what sweeping drama! Freedom! I have to admit, when the movie ended, I flipped on some nonsense TV and started snoozing on the couch, most likely from being made tired by all the mood swings the movie engenders. Like Suz, I didn't see any substantial problems with the video, and the audio was excellent. I've avoided seeing the movie for the last several years, even though I owned the tape, just to preserve the magic, and I'm glad I did. I'll have to watch it again this weekend with the audio commentary track.

Today, being the first day (of the rest of my life?) of the month, it's time to clean up the website. Looking at the last month's entries, I see that I really haven't done as much with design as I'd like. Mostly laziness, I suspect, along with the majority of my energy being sucked out elsewhere, but I really do want to spiff up the site a bit. No, I'm not going to redesign it every month or two, but it really is a bit plain right now, and not as functional as I'd like. I don't have a driving ambition to provide information to anyone here... I do want to maintain somewhere that I can discuss the oddities of life with a group of my friends publicly. So, maybe since the heat's not supposed to die down much here in Mooville, I'll spend some time on the weekend working on it. No promises, however.

Especially since I'm going bowling with friends. Hopefully this time, I won't end up bleeding again :) This group of people have been to a couple of ball games already, and had a lot of fun. I should check into the minor league here in town and see if we could get to one of their games too. I used to really enjoy going to the Prince William Cannons (now known as the Potomac Cannons, and a St. Louis Cardinals affiliate in the Carolina League) games in Dale City, VA.

While I don't mention it every day, I do read all the Mooville sites every morning, along with specific other sites (Sushi, Corey, Gryph, Dave, Norm, Blake, Gwen) and I enjoy the tiny insight into your lives. You are all people I care about, and since most of you are not local, it is the only manner in which I can feel close to you, since we don't get to talk every day.

Of course, I'm irritated with my brother... who is complaining about the rain. Sheesh. It's been over 100 degrees (humiture) here for the last 2 weeks (and I suspect worse for my sister and others in TX) with no end in sight. I wish we had some rain to break up the damn heat and humidity.

Well, off to fold my car. No promises to post this weekend, but who knows what whimsy may come over me.
