oy, did I ever oversleep this morning. I do remember hearing the radio go off, and listening to a news article about flu shots, but suddenly, it was 17 minutes after 10, and I hadn't gotten up. So, this entry will be (blessedly for you all) short.

I have to announce that I'm absolutely ecstatic with the new application I've downloaded to take care of cataloguing my DVDs, called DVD Profiler. There have been raves about it on the Home Theatre Forum, and there is no doubt in my mind that these people are right. It may not be the next four slice toaster, but it sure is keen! And best of all, it's free (although they do actually offer a paid version, there isn't anything that is disabled in the free version). And since you enter your collection in either through scanning (I haven't hooked up my cue-cat yet) or through entry of the bar code (I've still got my 10-key data entry skills), it took just a few minutes to put in all of my DVDs, and seconds for all the data on them to get downloaded. Pretty amazing stuff... if you have DVDs, I highly recommend this. It's a lot like the CDDB enabled program CATraxx, that I use to catalog my CDs, but with a ton more info (scans of covers, credits, studio, rating, time, extras included on disc, case type, video format, sound formats, story synopsis, etc.)

OK, it's really getting late now, and I have to leave. More tomorrow.
