want you to know that I appreciate all of the kind comments and prayers. We'll have to see where we go from here, but it does my heart good to know that there are so many people in the world who care. In this season of madness, angry and impatient drivers, it is revealing to know that there are still people who care, whether it is someone they know or not.

Unfortunately, I'm still not, and don't expect to be in the Christmas spirit anytime soon. Several reasons, I suspect, including my recent move and the fact that it really isn't cold here. Speaking of cold...I'm fighting a losing battle with mine. My voice lowers an octave everyday, and I had to go to the store last night, not to get foodstuffs, but to stock up on kleenex. Despite my illness, I'm continuing to work, since I get all of next week off, I'd feel silly taking a sick day this week. I was sucessfull in getting my car registered at the DMV yesterday morning, which is a good thing, because the penalties appear to rise to abotu 160% of the original amount of registration fairly quickly. I got away with just about $100, and got my tags, which I need to put on the car sometime. I'll have to go back soon to get my license. Apparently, they recommend making an appointment. I have to admit, I consider DMVs to be one of our governments largest failures. I've not lived in a state where I thought that the process was handled appropriately, considering the amount of people that have to deal with it (close to 100%). Somehow, in the 40s and 50s, when they were doing efficiency studies in the factories, they missed the process of going thru the DMV :)

My AOhell connection is tenuous at best these days. Often, I have to connect 3 or 4 times to get a single web page to load. In fact, I'm trying to get it to load right now, so that I can get some further inspiration on what to write. Further, it appears that Mooville is down (update, 10 minutes later... it ain't down, just my ability to see it is, damn AOL!), so the likelyhood of me posting this before I leave for work is quite slim.

I'm currently having a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast (a double, actually... don't tell AA) and have been recently reading their claims about cholesterol lowering. I was quite amused to find that what actualy happens is that it apparantly bonds with cholesterol that is in your digestive system, and helps flush it out... which means that if you're not eating anything else that has cholesterol in it at the time, it ain't helping at all. On the other hand, it doesn't contain any cholesterol in it, so it isn't hurting me either. I'll just have to remember that next time I go to Outback and have a steak, I need to order a side of oatmeal to have at the same time :)

My energy level currently, apparently along with the electrical grid in California, is low to non-existant right now. This week, I think I've accomplished all of about 2 hours of unpacking. I guess it will have to wait until after the holidays...

That's all I can come up with today. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.
