t is beginning to feel a bit like Christmas.... I've got 90 percent of my shopping done, and I've put the flannel sheets on the bed. There is little more comfortable in this world than slipping into a flannel sheeted bed. Lazing in the morning, half asleep, listening to the radio, all warm except for your head which is exposed to the cool air. I don't know why I have this affinity for heat.... what with enjoying flannel, sitting in the sun, sitting in front of a fireplace. Perhaps I'm really a cold blooded creature who has to rob heat where he can. Oh, wait, that is Suz! I conserve, I manage, I tend my banked fires continually, and then once we hop in the car, she'll drop her icepick hands on the back of my neck, or grab my arm, and the rate of flow of heat/coldness is astounding. I've accused her of being a heat vampire, and she just grins...and I could swear I see icicles where her eye teeth are supposed to be. (I'm just teasing her... but man, she gets cold!)

I'm actually a bit stumped right now when it comes to shopping. I've got 3 more presents to get... Suz's, my Dad's, and my youngest nephew. Chances are pretty good that my nephew will wait until I'm up in VA after Christmas, and can take my sister to the store with me. My Dad is a bit harder... he's one of those classic "the man who has everything" kind of guys. I've got one small gift for him, but I'd like at least one more. And of course there's Suz. She's a bit harder. I've got several small gifts, but the large one I'm stumped. I've gone back and forth a couple of times on a couple of items, and each time I leave the house to get them, I change my mind. Frustrating. I don't want to give her something she won't like, nor do I want to give her something she won't use, or feel beholden to, just because I gave it to her.

The company's renting a theater tomorrow, and taking us to see LoTR at 11AM. Should be interesting. Off to work!
