I'm mostly annoyed with myself, because I'm pretty sure I could have done all this work by myself without messing up the heater. Being a rental place, I didn't want to do it, lest I get in trouble. I suspect the problem was that the guys who did it never turned off the breaker switch before they started work. Which is a basic thing to do when you're working on something that has electricity hooked up to it. As a result of this, I've not only inconvenienced myself, but Suz as well... and on the coldest days of the year. Not real high on myself at this point. Work continues to be a headlong rush into the unknown. Today, we're putting together a nifty document, which may take several extra hours of work this evening. Of course, now that I've got the responsibility of getting the heater fixed, it will likely be extra time, since I'll have to be coming back to the house sometime during the day to meet with the contractor. I'm not really happy right now. |
