And, to be honest, I was disappointed in the advertising. There were only a couple that caught my eye in a good way, including Anheuser-Busch's acknowledgment of September 11 and the Brisk Iced Tea commercial. Pepsi's ads left me flat, as did Quiznos and E-Trade. And AT&T's mlife were just annoying as all get out. All in all, a most dissatisfying performance in the ad departments of major corporations...but I also perceived that there were significantly fewer companies willing to pony up the inflated prices charged for Super Bowl time. Perhaps there will be some better variety in the Olympics, which I'm looking forward to. Other than that, I spent the entire weekend recharging my batteries. The last couple of weeks at work have been exhausting, yet fruitful. What I should have done is gone in an rearranged my office, but that will have to wait. |
