y entries have become more sporadic, not because I don't want to post, but I'm finding more things to do in the morning... like make lunch for myself. The biggest problem, which many people in my family (and some out of it) will nod their heads in agreement to, is the fact that I have a real hard time getting up in the morning. I've always been a "night" person, so to speak... and now I'm just a regular person. No special leanings towards morning or night. I just have a hard time changing the hour at which I awake. I enjoy lying in bed, on the border between sleep and wakefulness, listening to the news. I drift from one side to the other, depending on what the news article is about on NPR, and then suddenly awake when I realize that I should have been in the shower 20 minutes ago, if I am to get to work on time. So, don't hate me because I'm sleepy. I'm trying to adjust my schedule so there is time for both lunch making and posting.

Had a lovely weekend here in beautiful SoCal. Our good friend John flew out last week for some company meetings and stayed for a wedding of one of his local employees, the same one that Suz and I enjoy game nights with. It was a truly enjoyable time, with theatrics (both the bride and groom have worked in Hollywood), good folks, and good food. In fact, I think it is the first wedding in which I've seen a sword fight between the groom and someone who objected to the marriage, followed by the bride punching out the objector. Quite fun! Pixie (yes, her name is Pixie) wore a lovely dress with silver pixie wings (as did her flower girls, four of them, aged 2 to 5). It was quite an enjoyable time, to be sure.

I enjoyed the first Formula One race of the season yesterday. If you didn't catch it, take a look at the Speed Channel this week for a replay. Even if you only watch the first 5 minutes of the race itself, you'll be impressed. And after the first 5 minutes, there was some pretty impressive driving, as well :)

Jeff, I'm not sure that's the kind of kilt I'm looking for... but it is a great site :)

There appears to be some planning of some work on our street. Both Thursday and Friday night when we got home, there were several utility trucks parked on the street, one of them directly in front of our home. And some jack hammering, and digging of yards went on, too. I've also noticed quite a few new marks painted on the street, and we've received a notice requesting that we don't park our cars out there. I sure hope they're able to get this done during the day time :)

Off to organize my website for the new month, and get to work.
