time is rapidly approaching where I'll be off-line for this web page for
about 3 weeks. Due to the capriciousness of Pacific Bell's DSL service,
it will be 5 days once the phone has been moved (next Friday) before they
can even place the order for DSL, and then another 5 to 10 days before
it will be hooked up. Just one of those things, I guess. Although most
likely during that time I'll be pretty busy moving, setting up, and unpacking.
At least, that's my hope. We go get the keys this Friday, and I'm going
to start shifting stuff out of the garage this weekend.
One of the priorities is to get a stereo over there, so that I can listen to something in the house while moving boxes. I've got that covered in 2 ways, fortunately. By next Friday, I'll need to have at least 2 TVs and both cable boxes there so that the cable installer can do cable, and today I need to call and schedule a DirectTV installer as well. I started changing addresses on Sunday with my periodicals, and my banks. I'm sure I've forgotten some (Smithsonian comes to mind) but I'll grab them as they come in next week. There is still a ton of packing to do (detritus in the breakfast nook, the entire kitchen), but I'll hope that we can get those done sometime before Friday. I'd like to be able to move the shelves they're on this weekend.
I've been hearing good things about Dungeon Siege, and got a brief demo of it yesterday while I was preparing for our prototype meeting. Looked impressive, I'll pick it up next time I'm at Costco. I need another game right now to take my mind off of other stuff :) Our prototype demo went well, it seems, so I guess it was worth the lost sleep this week. I'm still recovering (my body isn't as young as it used to be) so I'm hoping I'll be hale before the weekend.
I'm wondering about Owlchick's entry. Does this mean that Sheepboy has a split personality?
