t started quietly, with just being extremely tired Thursday night, as I shopped at the market for some food. I was planning on a quiet weekend at home, with no special plans. Friday morning, I woke up with what I would categorize as the flu. My own fault, I suspect. On Tuesday, we'd had a field trip, and I drove one of my coworkers who professed to have the flu, and said he was no longer contagious. Of course, that appears not to have been the case.

So Friday was pretty miserable. I was having trouble keeping anything down, and have all of the strength of an overcooked noodle. And I started coughing, which didn't help the strength part at all. When you're already sore and weak, trying to force a cough is a hard row to hoe. I had a hard time sleeping Friday night as well. By Saturday, the stomach was feeling better, but there was no return of strength, and my nose and throat were in worse shape. I've gone through 3 Kleenex boxes over the last several days, and still have 3 others that have half of what they used to in them! It hasn't been fun, but I've got responsibilities at work, and I'm going in. I don't think I'm quite 100% yet, but I'm 80%, and we have an important deadline to meet this week, so off I go.

Hope you manage to avoid the flu/cold thing that is going around!
