o
far, all is well... (around 2PM) but I'm concerned about it continuing
that way. Just 10 minutes ago, I took this picture
from in front of my house, and this one
from the top of the hill 2 houses up. It's coming this way, I fear, and
I'm not sure how much longer I'll be allowed to stay. My boss got evacuated
in Scripps Ranch this morning, and I'm sure several more of my coworkers
have too. In fact, I couldn't drive to work right now if I wanted to,
as I-15 is closed heading south. If at all possible, I'll be back here
later to post. Just hope it is from my home, and not the office. Trying
to find which boxes I need to load into the car. Not to worry, though...nothing
here than can't be replaced in time. Most important to me is my friends,
my family and my health. I love you all :)
Update: 3:45PM. Well,
I can see the fire coming over the mountains. There remains about 20 to
30 people watching at the top of my street. I've plopped a couple of boxes
of stuff in the car in case I have to go, but I'm willing to bet it won't
happen. Got a call from an employee, who's talked with my boss, who is
pretty sure he's lost both his house and his car. Things aren't great,
but he got out with his family, so....
