eems like the fire is no longer threatening my home, although I've just seen on the news that the worst air quality is here in Escondido. They're recommending that people stay inside, or go to a hospital if they're having trouble breathing. I went to work yesterday morning, and within 10 minutes of arriving, got an email from the boss telling us all to go home. Ah, well... that is what I get for showing up so early. He's requested that as many of us as possible show up today, but indicates that if you have children in the school system, or still have impending issues, you should stay home, which is sensible. One of our artists is a single parent, and needs to stay home with his son until the schools reopen, which I suspect won't happen until next week. The fire nearest me has consumed 40,000 acres, and is only 20% contained, but the one to my south has burned around 200,000 acres, and is less than 15% contained. So far, in San Diego county 1,167 homes have been destroyed. The fortunate side affect of all of this will be a boost to the local economy as people rebuild their homes. Not a fun thing, but not bad.

I'll see you soon!
